Big Ambitions Guide
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 20 September 2026
Who is responsible
Big Ambitions Guide, available at bigambitionsguide.com, is an independent guide to the game Big Ambitions. It is not affiliated with Hovgaard Games.
The operator responsible for the personal information described in this policy is YC, based in China. For privacy questions or requests, contact privacy@bigambitionsguide.com. We do not publish a postal address. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO). We have not designated a representative under Article 27 of the GDPR. This describes our current appointment status and does not mean that an exemption from that requirement has been established.
Information involved in browsing the site
You can read the guides without creating an account. This site does not provide registration, comments, payment or contact forms. If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to send and the contact details needed to respond.
Cloudflare provides the site's hosting, delivery and security services. These services process technical request information, including IP addresses and information about the browser, requested resource and connection, to deliver and protect the site. We can view site-level traffic information, such as request counts, in Cloudflare's dashboard. Hosting and security processing is separate from optional Google Analytics. We do not use Cloudflare Web Analytics. SeeCloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Google Analytics
With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits to the guides, how readers reach the site and how its content is used. Enhanced Measurement is enabled for page views, scrolling, outbound clicks, site search, form interactions, video engagement and file downloads. Page-view detection includes page loads and browser-history changes. These settings detect eligible interactions; they do not mean that this guide provides a search form, contact form or every type of event. SeeGoogle's Enhanced Measurement documentation.
Google Signals and user-provided data collection are not enabled. Granular location and device collection is enabled; location reporting can include city-level estimates. No Google products are linked to this Analytics property, including Google Ads, AdSense, AdMob, Ad Manager, BigQuery, Display & Video 360, Floodlight, Google Business Profile, Merchant Center, Google Play, Search Ads 360 or Search Console. Account data sharing permits Google technical support to access Analytics data when necessary to help resolve problems. Sharing for Google products and services, modeling contributions and business insights, and business recommendations is off. These are the site's account settings recorded on 15 September 2026, not assumptions about Google's defaults.
After you allow analytics, Google can receive page addresses and titles, referring pages, visit and interaction events, browser and device information, approximate location and browser identifiers. Network requests also involve IP addresses. Google's handling of IP addresses depends on the visitor's region and applicable service settings. See Google's explanations forEU, Switzerland and UK visitorsand visitors in other regions. This policy does not describe all analytics traffic as anonymous.
Read how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its servicesfor information about Google's collection, processing and privacy controls.
Cookies and your analytics choice
Our consent-before-analytics approach applies globally. Google Analytics does not load or send measurement requests until you choose Allow analytics. If you reject analytics or leave the choice unanswered, Google Analytics stays off and you can continue reading. Acceptance enables cookie-based analytics. You can change your choice through Privacy settings in the page footer. No Google Analytics measurements are sent when permission is absent or rejected. See Google's Basic consent documentation.
When analytics storage is allowed, Google Analytics commonly uses first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_… to distinguish browsers and maintain session information. Google documents a default lifetime of two years. This site uses the default two-year expiry, with renewal relative to the most recent visit while analytics is allowed. Browsers can limit storage, and you can remove cookies using browser controls. Cookie lifetime is different from the retention of data already received by Google. SeeGoogle's cookie documentationand its explanation of cookie expiry and renewal.
Remembering your choice
We remember your choice using browser local storage for 180 days from your explicit choice. This storage only serves to remember your analytics preference; visits alone do not extend its lifetime. When the preference expires or is no longer valid, Google Analytics stays off until you choose again. Clearing browser data can remove your saved choice. You can reopen Privacy settings without waiting for the preference to expire.
If local storage is unavailable when you reject analytics, we try to remember the rejection in temporary storage for this tab. This fallback does not provide the 180-day persistence and may not apply in other tabs. The on-page message tells you whether the rejection was saved for this tab only.
If neither storage method works, we keep Google Analytics off in the current page but cannot remember your rejection after navigation or a reload. The on-page message explains this limitation. If acceptance cannot be saved, Google Analytics remains off.
Withdrawing permission
Withdrawing permission stops future Google Analytics measurement and removes analytics cookies that this site can access. After saving your rejection, we reload the page to stop the analytics software that was already loaded. Browser restrictions can limit which cookies the site can remove; you can also use your browser's controls to clear this site's data. We do not reload automatically if your rejection cannot be saved.
Withdrawal cannot recall requests already sent or in transit and does not automatically delete previously collected data. You can contact us about that data using the privacy contact above.
Source videos and reserved advertising space
The Google Analytics choice controls Google Analytics only. It does not control the loading of embedded videos or Cloudflare hosting and security.
Some guides offer source videos. Before playback is selected, the video card uses artwork and text served by this site, without loading a YouTube thumbnail or player. Before the playback control, a notice explains that YouTube, a Google service, will receive technical information to provide the player and video. You can continue reading without loading it. The control is labelledAllow YouTube and play video. Selecting the video playback control loads an embedded YouTube player from youtube-nocookie.com. This contacts YouTube and can disclose technical information, including your IP address and the site's origin, and lets YouTube load the resources needed for its player and video. The domain name does not mean there is no data processing. You can leave the player unloaded by not selecting playback, or leave or reload the page to remove it; that cannot recall information already sent. Choosing to play a video is separate from allowing Google Analytics and does not enable Google Analytics. We do not remember this video choice across page reloads. You can withdraw this video choice by leaving or reloading the page to remove the player; previously sent information cannot be recalled. SeeGoogle's explanation of embedded-service data use.
The site currently contains reserved advertisement space without an active advertising loader. No advertising scripts run in the current site. If advertising is introduced, we will describe the new processing and follow the material-change and consent process below before enabling processing that requires consent.
Purposes, legal bases and recipients
We use browsing information to provide and protect the site and analytics information for the purposes described above. We use correspondence to respond to privacy requests or other enquiries. Consent is the basis for optional Google Analytics measurement. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interests in providing a reliable guide and protecting it against misuse for hosting, delivery and security. For correspondence, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and privacy requests sent to us, investigating reported site problems, and keeping a limited record needed to handle and follow up those requests. We rely on consent for optional video loading, expressed by selecting Allow YouTube and play videoafter the notice, separately from analytics consent. Google Analytics measurement without permission and Cloudflare Web Analytics are not used; no legal basis for those inactive measurement activities is asserted. This policy does not assert a legal exemption for analytics or embedded videos, or a universal legitimate-interests basis under every country's law. Where the right to object applies, you may object to processing based on legitimate interests using the privacy contact above. We will assess the objection under the applicable law. See theEDPB's explanation of lawful processing.
Our Analytics contracting party is Google LLC in the United States under the standard Analytics terms for China. Google acts as a processor of covered customer personal data under the Ads Data Processing Terms accepted for our account. Our Cloudflare self-service contracting party is Cloudflare, Inc. in the United States. Its Data Processing Addendum governs covered processing on our behalf. Recipients also include YouTube when you load a player, email service providers involved in delivering correspondence, and the providers' authorized subprocessors.
Providers may also process information for their own service-operation, security and legal purposes under their privacy policies. Their roles depend on the data and service involved; the processor terms do not cover every use of every provider service. YouTube processing is described in Google's linked privacy information.
Retention and international processing
Our Google Analytics property retains event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months. Reset on new user activity is on, so new activity renews the retention period for the user identifier, not for every previously collected event. These settings do not determine the lifetime of cookies or all standard aggregated reports. SeeGoogle's retention explanation.
We keep contact requests and related correspondence for 2 months. We do not export or retain independent copies of raw access or security logs. Cloudflare handles its standard hosting logs under its own policies. Cloudflare's operational retention follows its documented service purposes and legal requirements, with the period depending on the information and purpose. The contact-request period does not set the retention of Cloudflare's records or Google's aggregated Analytics reports. Disabling a beacon does not establish deletion of historical measurements. See the data-retention section ofCloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Google and Cloudflare operate internationally, so information may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. As the operator is based in China, information may also be transferred to or accessed from China when it is made available to the operator, including correspondence and Analytics information. These are disclosed processing destinations, not an exhaustive list of every location used for each request. See Google's international-processing information. The specific arrangements and safeguards for transfers involving China remain subject to verification. We do not assert an exemption or an adequacy decision for those transfers. On 15 September 2026, the official Data Privacy Framework List showed Google LLC and Cloudflare, Inc. as Active Participants covering non-HR data under the EU–U.S. framework, its UK Extension and the Swiss–U.S. framework. Google's three entries were marked Active — Re-certification under Review; Cloudflare's were marked Active. Coverage is limited to each certification. We do not infer a site's transfer arrangement solely from a provider's certification. Check the current entries in theofficial Data Privacy Framework List.
For transfers subject to European data protection law, Google's terms provide applicable Data Privacy Framework safeguards for eligible transfers and Standard Contractual Clauses where required. Cloudflare's DPA provides certification-scoped safeguards and Standard Contractual Clauses for restricted transfers, with the UK Addendum and Swiss adaptations where applicable. These mechanisms do not establish compliance with China's separate data-export requirements. Information about the safeguards and applicable contractual clauses is available inGoogle's Ads Data Processing Terms,Google's transfer explanationand Cloudflare's DPA. See also the Analytics terms for Chinaand Cloudflare Self-Serve Subscription Agreement.
Your rights and further information
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or receive your personal information, restrict processing, object to processing, and complain to a data protection authority. Contact privacy@bigambitionsguide.com to make a request. You can contact the authority responsible under the law that applies to you; the European Data Protection Board's member listidentifies EEA authorities, and the UK Information Commissioner's Officeprovides its complaint routes. We do not designate a single supervisory authority solely from the operator's location. We may need information reasonably necessary to verify and handle a request.
Information you choose to send in correspondence is voluntary, but we may need enough information to respond. Rejecting optional analytics does not prevent access to the guides. This guide does not make automated decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects. This statement concerns the guide's functions; it is not a claim about every provider's independent processing.
External source links lead to independently operated sites with their own privacy practices. We may update this policy when the site's practices change; the effective date above identifies the current version. For material changes, we will provide a prominent notice on the site and explain the affected processing. If a change needs fresh consent, we will request it before enabling that processing; an earlier analytics choice will not be treated as consent to a new purpose.
